Martha Martha

In our fast paced and busy society we are distracted by many things but like Mary's sister Martha... we need to spend time listening to Jesus' words.

Luke 10:40 But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her  to help me.”

Luke 10:41  And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things.

Luke 10:42 There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.”

I have heard a saying, 'Two natures beat within my breast. One is foul, the other blest. One I love and one I hate. The one I feed will dominate."

*Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

*Matthew 11:28 “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
