rash:1. acting or tending to act too hastily or without due consideration.
2. characterized by or showing too great haste or lack of consideration: rash promises.
Rash decisions are decisions that are made in the heat of the moment. These "spur of the moment decisions are made when our emotions begin rapid-firing and we do things impulsively because we are not thinking, we are feeling.
The answer is in yielding to the Holy Spirit. We can not bear the fruit of the spirit if we do not walk in the spirit and we can not walk in the spirit unless we yield to Him. In essence giving Him permission to guide our lives.
Galatians 5:16 So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.
Proverbs 13:16 Wise people think before they act; fools don't and even brag about their foolishness.
I Peter 1:13 So think clearly and exercise self-control. Look forward to the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world.
Prayer: Father, please help me to make wise and not hasty decisions!
