In Sync!

In-sync is a slang term for being in tune, agreement or harmony.  In musical terms though, syncopation means a short rest, or an accent on a weak beat.

As believers in Christ, we love Him with all of our heart, but as humans, sometimes our "rhythm takes a "rest". Eventually though, the gentle voice of the Holy Spirit beacons us to get back "in rhythm".*

When He calls us we need to "acknowledge" the call.

Remember in music, a "rest" is only a pause in the rhythm, it isn't the end of the song. A song always starts with a beat, has a beat in the middle and ends with a beat. Jesus is the beginning, the middle and the end.*

*Proverbs 24:16 The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again.
But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked.

*Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.

*Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. Acknowledge Him in all your ways and He will direct your paths.

*Revelation 1:18“I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.”
