Sometimes, we think we
know what the best course of action is. But the prophet Jeremiah
said that our hearts were wicked and deceitful and we can't even know
it! So how can we know what the right thing to do is?
There are some hallmarks:
1.) Are we seeking the Lord?
2.) Are we being impatient or
patient?
3.) Are we willing to accept
an answer that we may not understand or like?
1.) Proverbs 16:3 Commit to the LORD
whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. Isaiah 55:6 Seek the LORD
while he may be found; call on him while he is near.
2.) Psalms 27:14 Wait patiently for
the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord. Galatians 5:23 But the Holy Spirit
produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness..
3.). Proverbs 3:5- 6 Trust in
the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
Proverbs 17:3 The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for
gold, But the LORD tests the hearts.
