Our precious Lord knows how frail we are. He knows that there will indeed be times when we are afraid.

The Psalmist had it perfect! "What time I am afraid, I will trust in you."

Some of us are control freaks. We want to know the answer to every question or what to do in every situation and when we don't it makes us crazy! It's exhausting! Seasoned saints may feel inadequate because they don't seem "spiritually-minded" enough to figure things out. The beauty of it is we don't have to! Since we are rapidly approaching the end of the year I wanted to share some study methods for the New Year. Let's be honest how many New Year's resolutions have you broken? If you are like me probably a lot of them if not all of them. But, Bible reading and study shouldn't be just something to tick off of a to-do list. The Bible is a big book and sometimes we might be overwhelmed by it but two things have helped me to successfully read through in a year. The first one is the Bible Recap by Tara Lee Cobble. It's available on Amazon. I used this method and it was nice because I was just getting back into the discipline of reading daily. I found using the Bible Recap helpful because it didn't have dates on the portions. That helped because I didn't self condemn when I missed a day. I just got right back on that horse and began again. Helpful Tip for Left-handed Note-takers

This is just a little helpful hint for people with left hands. A close friend of mine is a lefty who has a hard time taking notes on wire-bound notebooks. So the idea came up to simply turn the notebook upside-down and backwards. The point is not that we have a beautiful notebook or notes but that we learn! Don't be intimidated by other people's methods! There is no wrong way to take notes we sometimes learn best by trial and error! We believe that the idea was given to us by the Holy Spirit. He is the Helper, Teacher, and Comforter!
