When we think about the armor of God often times we think about fighting. And sure we do have struggles. Some of them are very fierce. Pay attention to what Paul says:.... that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. If you aren't born again, you aren't in spiritual battles. But the moment you accept the gift of salvation through Christ, you have entered new territory. You have eternal life through Christ but you still live in a suite made of flesh. You're struggles are more internal than external. This is important because you love your new Master and want to please Him. You just don't know Him well yet. It takes time. All relationships do. Be encouraged today. You'll get to know Him better by learning His language. The gospel of John is a great place to start.
A friend of mine said she didn't know how to pray. It is just talking to the Lord. He loves you. He wants to help you get to know Him better. Christianity is not about keeping rules it is all about being in a loving relationship with Jesus.
Here is a simple, sample prayer. "Father I don't know how to please You, will you show me How?"
He absolutely will.

Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of [c]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
